Endorsements
“Last summer, while visiting the Serra Retreat Center, Father Jack Wintz gave me a copy of his book, Lights Along My Path. A month or so later, I took his book with me to Europe—and what a revelation! I read the book from cover to cover. It became my spiritual reading while filming in Ireland and Spain. What a wonderful book. I’m deeply grateful to Father Jack for writing this book, and for sharing it with me. I was moved by his personal struggles and deep insights.
I was absolutely delighted, as well, in finding a prayer or reflection at the end of each chapter.
I thank Fr. Jack for, in all truth, giving the reader, in the words of this book’s subtitle, A Friar’s Journey in the Footsteps of St. Francis.
I would personally recommend this book to anyone and pray that it will touch your heart as deeply as it has touched mine.”
From the Foreword by Martin Sheen
“Anyone who knows Fr. Jack has seen the light in his eyes. Now he’s found a way to make words do what his eyes do—shine with hope and optimism, words we seldom see in print today but dearly need. Lights Along My Path made me smile and believe again that Christ is indeed the once and future light of the world.”
- Murray Bodo, OFM
“We are longing for an ‘attitude of gratitude’ among our people and within ourselves. Lights Along My Path is exactly that kind of positive and intelligent faith expression needed today. Thank you, Jack, for such ‘Brilliance’!”
- Richard Rohr, OFM
